A January swim with swans in Lake Bracciano, just outside of Roma.  I did 32 strokes in honour of my 32nd birthday….then ran out aching with cold (and back in again!).

Post-swim, the best hot chocolates were located in the beautiful, peaceful perched town of Anguillara Sabazia.
